You can make phone calls on the Internet:

1) Go to Download.com:
2) choose the Category "Internet>Communications>Web Phones" and
3) download the program you choose.
Look for the cost per minute (after Trial). Some of them sell info about you.

PhoneFree, iconnectHere.com, MediaRing, Net2Phone, & DialPad.com are the most popular.

[expect lousy sound quality at 2 cents a minute, drop-offs, etc from any of them].
Personally, I buy an AT&T Phone card from Sam's Club and get 3.5 cents per minute in the US, instead of 2 cents a minute from an Internet Phone company.
